Training4Success History

AppleMark The training was designed and initiated in 2005 by Marga Fripp, an award winning journalist and a native of Romania, the President of Empowered Women International. The concept behind the program was to create economic opportunities and give a voice to artistically talented newcomers and low-income immigrant women, who want to pursue a career as an artist entrepreneur, freelancer, or art business owner.

Each year 30-50 artists graduate from the training, and secure employment and business opportunities in their chosen art media. Approximately 80% of the artists who attended the Training4Success had an increase in their income, changed jobs for better positions and/or enrolled in educational programs. About 70% of participants sold or exhibited work in new venues, worked on commission projects, partnered with EWI to sell and promote art, or volunteered in schools and community efforts.
